しょうりしました！ we won!

わたしの　しゅうまつ　は　おもしろかた　ですよ。　きんようび、ともだちと　さんじはんごろ　バスで　モール　に　いきました。ふく　を　かいました。そして、りょう　へ　かえりました。ろくじはんごろ　ソウス　ダイニング　ホルで　ばんごはん　を　たべました。いつも　ソウス　ダイニング　ホルで　たべます。まいしゅうの　きにょうびの　ばん、わたしたちは　シリオル　を　たべます。ばか　です　でも、わたしたちの　でんとう　です。　あとで、パーティ　に　いきました。

どようび、じゅうじはんに　おきました。じゅうにじに　ひるごはん　を　たべました。　そして、わたしの　ルームメート　の　テールゲート　(tailgate) へ　いきました。フトボル　ゲーム　を　みました。わたしたちの　チーム　を　しょうりしました！すごい、ね！　ばんごはんは　スパゲッティー　を　たべました。そして、じゅういちじごろ　うちで　パーティ　に　いきました。

きょう、くじはんごろ　おきました。たくさん　しゅくだい　が　ありますよ。たくさん　べんきょうします。にちようびは　いそがしい　ですよ。

まいにち の せいかつ

まいあさ　はちじはん　に　おきます。かお　を　あらいます。　そして、へや　で　あさごはん　を　たべます。いつも　シリアル　を　たべます。くじごじゅぷん　に　じゅぎょう　に　いきます。にじゅじごろ　ソウスダイニングハル (South Dining Hall)　で　ひるごはん　を　たべます。ぜんぜん　ノートルダイニングハル　(North Dining Hall)　で　たべません。さんじはんごろ　へや　で　べんきょうします。あまり　としょかん　で　べんきょうしません。しゅうまつ　パーテイ　を　します。そして　フトボル　を　みます。　にちようび　が　すきじゃありません。にちようび　に　ながい　あいだ　べんきょうします。わたしは　とても　いそがしい　ですよ。

I am very excited to be studying Japanese and I want to learn how to say a lot. I want to study abroad next fall so I need to learn a lot before I go. I know it will be very challenging, but I look forward to it!

the beginning.

Hello all! This isn't my first time blogging, but this will be my first time blogging in a foreign language.

When I was younger, I was interested in anime. This lead to an interest in the Japanese culture and language. In my hometown, it is difficult to find a school that offers Japanese as a language. I technically started studying Japanese when I was about 12 years old. I taught myself for a year before finding a private tutor. I studied with her for 3 years until I received a scholarship opportunity to study in a Japanese high school for my sophomore year year. After two weeks I returned to the US because I found out much too late that the high school would give me only a "Certificate of Completion" for my classes, rather than actual grades. My US high school would not accept this certificate and I would have had to repeat my sophomore year over again had I stayed in Japan. During the rest of high school I did not study Japanese because I busied myself in advancing my Spanish skills. Over time, I forgot much Japanese unfortunately. A freshman in college now, I am more than continue where I left off in studying Japanese, but I need much reviewing obviously! I am still studying Spanish as well and I hope to double major in the two languages, as well as ideally spend at least a semester in Japan.
